Meet our Operations Manager
Johnny Casados
Meet an operations manager at UPM Mechanical with a passion for perfection and a deep-rooted love for the mechanical industry. Growing up in a union family, he was always fascinated by building things and inspired by watching his dad rise through the ranks from an entry-level position to management. This journey ignited his own career goals and led him to key milestones, like graduating from the Pipefitters Local 208 Apprenticeship and becoming a certified UA Instructor.
His superpower: It’s the ability to analyze, assess, plan, and execute—a skill set that has carried him through each step of his career, from apprentice to journeyman, instructor, field foreman, and now, operations manager. Teaching the 5th Year UA Foreman Certification Class and participating in annual UA Instructor Training keep him at the forefront of the industry. But what truly drives him is learning new skills, sharing that knowledge, and tackling big challenges.
One thing people might not know is that he’s a sneakerhead! However, more than his love for sneakers, he finds fulfillment in helping others succeed. For him, success means achieving his own goals and the goals of the company, and his long-term vision is clear: to one day become the vice president or even CEO of UPM Mechanical. His advice to anyone entering the field? Dive in with commitment, build strong relationships, and never stop giving back.
If he weren’t in this field, he’d probably be a U.S. Navy Fighter Jet Pilot. But he couldn’t be more grateful for the path he’s on. Outside of work, his “home team”—his beautiful wife, Briana, and their amazing kids, Jade, Johnny Jr., Isabella, and Milani—are his biggest source of inspiration. Often, you’ll find him grilling a tomahawk ribeye with a glass of Glenlivet 12-year scotch in hand, enjoying family time and reflecting on the accomplishments that truly matter.
